CIT GmbH hosts the 3rd Meeting of DataPRO, our Erasmus+ Project on the topic Data Protection.
The Centrum für Innovation und Technologie GmbH was host of the DataPRO meeting on the 29th and 30th October 2019. The meeting was conducted in the education centre of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Cottbus. DataPRO is a Project co-funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission, Key Action 3 Joint Qualifications in Vocational Education and Training. The project partners bring together industry, VET and quality / regulatory bodies to develop innovative training tools to develop the professional profile of the Data Protection Officer (DPO). The consortium encompasses 10 partners from 4 European countries: Belgium, Cyprus, Germany and Greece.
The two-day meeting was instrumental in advancing implementation of project activities towards the production of the Joint Occupational Profile and the Joint DPOs training curricula. All partners got an overview of the findings of the quantitative and qualitative desk research we implemented this year through an online questionnaire, focus groups and interviews. These results were the basis for the identification of skill-gaps in current DPO curricula and support the partners to set so far unconsidered curricula content.
Partners put great emphasis on the quality aspects of both the DataPRO occupational profile and DataPRO training curricula, with specific reference to alignment with relevant European standards and frameworks.
