Project meeting Nicosia

Training resources for data protection officers: CIT GmbH attended the 2^nd "DataPRO" project meeting in Nicosia 

Nicosia is the capital of the island republic Cyprus and also the place of the European University of Cyprus, where the 2^nd meeting of our ERASMUS+ project "DataPRO" took place on 20^th and 21^st May 2019.

The aim of the project is to create common qualifications in vocational training in the data protection sector. The consortium of 10 partners from 4 European countries (Belgium, Cyprus, Germany, Greece) wants to pay special attention to the new digital way of thinking and creates understandable and easily accessible learning resources. 

During the meeting, the project partners discussed the milestones already reached and the next steps towards the project goal. Priorities for implementation were set and a common strategy for effective communication and dissemination of project activities and results was defined.

We are currently engaged in quantitative and qualitative research to identify the skills and training needs of employees and (future) data protection officers. After evaluation of the research and on the basis of the joint results, we will create a joint curriculum for vocational training and other training resources in the area of data protection in the coming months.
